1. Scope and responsibility
BrightQuests Management Ltd., Lagos, Nigeria is the data controller for personal information covered by this policy. This policy applies to our public website, application and booking forms, newsletters, events, model management activities and related agency communications.
It does not replace the specific terms in a model agreement, booking confirmation, event registration or employment arrangement. Where a specific notice conflicts with this policy, the more specific notice applies to that activity.

- Booking and project information such as client briefs, rates, usage requirements, schedules, travel details, contracts and payment records.
- Parent or guardian identity, contact and consent information where a child or young person is involved.
- Messages, enquiries, complaints, newsletter choices and records of our communications with you.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, page activity, security logs and cookie choices.
Please do not send passports, national identity documents, medical details or other sensitive records through a general website form unless we specifically request them through an approved secure process.
3. How and why we use information
We process personal information only where we have a recognised lawful basis, including consent, steps connected with a contract, legal obligations and legitimate business interests.

- To publish approved portfolios and promote represented talent to appropriate clients and industry partners.
- To operate training, events, Model Mansion, kids activities and other announced BrightQuests programmes.

Human review and assisted tools
We may use assisted digital tools to organise submissions, identify possible matches and prepare internal recommendations. A material decision about representation, selection or booking is subject to human review. You may ask us to review a decision that you believe was based substantially on automated processing.
4. Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell personal information. We may share relevant information with:
- Authorised BrightQuests staff, agents, scouts and professional advisers who need it for their work.
- Clients, casting teams, photographers, designers, production partners and placement agencies where necessary for an opportunity and consistent with our agreement with you.
- Hosting, storage, email, analytics, security and other service providers acting under appropriate instructions.
- Regulators, law enforcement, courts or other persons where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Fashion and placement work may involve recipients outside Nigeria. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to confirm an adequate level of protection or use another safeguard recognised by the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
5. Children and young talent
A person under 18 must not submit an application, accept a booking or join a paid programme without the involvement and verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian. We collect only information reasonably needed to assess, protect and manage the young person. Guardians may exercise privacy rights on the child's behalf where permitted by law.
We do not knowingly publish a child's home address, school information or direct contact details. Safeguarding and production requirements may be covered by additional notices and consent forms.
6. How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose collected, legal obligations, safeguarding, accounting or dispute resolution.

- Information about how we process your personal data and access to a copy.
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion or restriction of information in appropriate circumstances.
- Withdrawal of consent, objection to certain processing and a portable copy where applicable.
- Human review in relation to significant automated decision making.
We may ask for information to verify your identity. We aim to respond promptly and within the period required by law. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
8. Cookies, analytics and communications
We use essential storage to operate security, authentication and website preferences. We may also use analytics to understand page performance and improve the experience. Where consent is required, optional tracking should not be activated until that consent is given. Browser settings may be used to block or remove cookies, although some website functions may then be limited.
Marketing emails include an unsubscribe method. Service messages connected with an application, booking or account are not marketing messages.
9. Security and data incidents
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including controlled access, secure hosting, authentication, backups and review of service providers. No internet service is completely risk free. If a personal data breach creates a risk requiring notice, we will notify affected persons and the relevant authority as required by law.
